Workshop topics will range from US Consumer Behavior, to Pricing & Distribution, to Budget & Forecasting, and more. All workshops will be taught by US beauty industry experts and companies will leave these sessions with a clear path to launching or growing in the US beauty market. Lunch will be provided.
The workshops will be led by Maggie Ciafardini, former CEO of Yves St. Laurent Beaute USA. Workshop speakers will include Drew Ford, Designer & Brand Strategist, Andrew Bowman, Senior Vice President of Ecommerce at TEMPTU Cosmetics, Jodi Katz, Founder of Base Beauty Creative Agency, Michael Long, Founder of MGL & Associates, and Bettina O’Neill, former DMM Cosmetics & Fragrance, Barney’s New York.
Store visits will include key retailers across a wide selection of top US shops such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Barney’s, and Bloomingdale’s for department stores, Sephora, ULTA, Blue Mercury, and Space NK for specialty beauty retail, and Duane Reade for mass and drugstores. Transportation will be provided.
The store visits will be lead by Maggie Ciafardini who is leading the workshops. She has vast knowledge on the US beauty retail environment and can answer any questions that you may have. Store associates will also be available throughout the store to give some additional insight on their experience working in a NYC based beauty retail environment.
Participants of the US Beauty Summit will be invited to a special interactive panel discussion with the Italian Beauty Council on Retail featuring key US buyers, industry executives, and members of the media. This networking breakfast will allow attendees to ask questions and engage with key figures in the US beauty market.
